Coaching Philosophy

Andrew knows that for many people the gym is a means to feeling great outside of the gym: whether it's on the trails, the water, the activities around the house, or keeping up with kids that never slow down! He’s stoked when a client's squat improves, loves to nerd out on biomechanics, and wants to find ways for you to enjoy your time in the gym, not feel like it's a punishment or a chore.

Experience

Andrew completed his Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training in 2012. Since then he has coached in a variety of settings ranging from group Kettlebell and Kickboxing classes, to CrossFit, to One-on-One Personal Training. He joined the Trailhead Athletics team in 2024.

The Rad Stuff!

Andrew loves to move and being in Washington has only furthered that love. In the past he's had fun completing:

  • 24 Hour Tough Mudders

  • Triathlon & Duathlon races

  • 1/2 Marathons & 50k Trail Runs

  • Tour de Whatcom 2x and the McClinchy Mile bike rides

  • He's having fun getting into mountain biking, hiking, and getting on the water!

    Andrew lives in an RV in Birch Bay with his wife and their adorable dog, Brida. Ask him to show you pictures and you might get extra rest between sets!
