Christina Funk
Coaching Philosophy
Growing up as a competitive soccer athlete, exercise and physical fitness has been a foundational part of paving Christina’s path as both an athlete and trainer. She believes that exercise is a valuable tool in holistic wellness - promoting both physical and mental fitness.
Experience
Christina received her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2022. After earning her degree, she relocated to Truckee, California in the north Lake Tahoe region, where she spent a winter season earning her Alpine Level One and Adaptive Level One teaching certifications through Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Post season, she worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for a private club in Truckee, earning her NASM Personal Trainer certification in February of 2024. She has since relocated to Bellingham to pursue her Master’s in Business Administration from Western Washington University.
The Rad Stuff!
When not in the gym, you can often find Christina hitting the slopes at Baker, or riding her bike in the woods on Galbraith. She loves early drives to the mountains, good coffee with friends, long walks on the boulevard, and spending time with her dachshund Oskar.
